William “Bill” Irvin
Born and raised in Monkton MD where he attended the Jemicy School and then West Nottingham Academy. After graduating Green Mountain College in Pultney, Vermont in 1989 with a degree in Small Business, He was on the development team of Total Beverage now the largest retailer of wine and spirits in America. Later joined Remy Martin as the Wine and Spirit education director and Sales Manager. Then gained his first restaurant experience in 2002 as the food and beverage director for Ruths Chris Steak Houses. He was then recruited to direct Phillips Seafood Restaurants. With 11 new openings and franchising in place Bill was encouraged to partner with his longtime friend.
He reestablished Koopers Tavern in Historic Fells Point and opened Slainte Irish Pub, Woody’s Rum Bar started the first food truck in Baltimore called The Chowhound and opened Celies Waterfront Inn.
Bill then went back to his birth town of Monkton Maryland and purchased the legendary Manor Tavern and developed Falafalicious, La Folie Steak Frits, Avenue Kitchen & Bar, Garden Party and Taco Noche.
Bill moved to Wilmington last year to be closer to his partner Sheri Stump. Bill and Sheri are active in running, food & wine and traveling.
He has been a winning chef on the Food Network’s TV Show “Food Fight”, Baltimore’s top Business people in the 30 under 30 and regularly troubles shoots challenged restaurants in the North East.
