Bonnie and Daniel Frawley bought their Wilmington home in 1974 through a program that awarded properties to buyers for $1 under the condition that the buyers would rehabilitate and live in the homes.
The 7-acre Wilmington chateau, dubbed Chevannes, was built in 1928 for the first wife of Alfred I. du Pont. "You couldn't duplicate the property today for probably under $10 million."
